Prof. Alia Alghwiri is a physical therapist who had her Master’s and PhD degrees in neurological rehabilitation from University of Pittsburgh, USA. She is currently the vice dean of the School of Rehabilitation sciences at the University of Jordan.
Prof. Alghwiri is interested in the brain and how it affects the physical and mental functions of the body. She has had many publications in the areas of vestibular disorders, multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, diabetes mellitus (DM), International Classification of Functioning Disability and Health (ICF), back pain, and plantar fasciitis. Additionally, she contributed as an author in writing "balance and fall" chapter in the third edition of the "geriatric physical therapy" book and in writing “An Overview of Vestibular Rehabilitation” in the third series of “Handbook of Clinical Neurology” book.
